Extra Curricular Activities
Although academic progress is at the core of a successful education, it is also vital that every student is engaged in the other areas of school life. At St Clements's High School we offer a full range of extra-curricular opportunities to broaden our students' experiences and expand their understanding of the world that surrounds them, ranging from after school clubs and societies through to school trips and activities.
Clubs and Activities
These range from subject specific clubs to those that will challenge our students beyond the curriculum and gain knowledge and experience outside the classroom which will help them on their future career path.
Those students with a particular interest in Science and Technology may take the opportunity to become involved in the Technology Tournament, or demonstrate their scientific knowledge of such events as the British Aerospace Science Roadshow.
Students with a musical interest may take up piano, guitar or drum lessons.
Some other extra curricular clubs we have on offer are as follows:
- Humanities club
- Art club
- Maths Help!
- Drama
- ICT
- Show Jumping

Sports Clubs
PE plays a major role in the life of our school and all students have the opportunity to take part in competitive sport through our House Match and extensive extra curricular programme. Alongside the more traditional sports, students can participate in activities such as archery and fishing.
Students are also able to represent the school in regular fixtures held at local and county level.

Duke of Edinburgh Award
For our more adventurous students, we offer the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme. The Award includes developing skills, volunteering and taking part in a variety of expeditions.
The Bronze and Silver Award levels are offered to our students from Year 9 and is very popular with our students. For more information click here.
Trips and Overseas Residential Visits
At St Clement's, we believe school trips provide a great opportunity for active learning and foreign residential trips can be a great way to broaden students' horizons. Bi-annual ski trips to Austria have been a popular feature of our calendar. The Creatives Arts trip to New York has become a regular event and in 2019 our students made the 6000 mile journey to Japan. These longer trips sit alongside our annual History and Language visits to France and Germany. Each year we have groups visiting the Houses of Parliament, West End theatres and national galleries.
All our students are given the opportunity to take part in the variety of trips and excursions and to view those that are available, please click here.
