St Clement's High School - Best Secondary School of the Year
We were delighted to win the Lynn News Secondary School of Year Award. We have improved our GCSE results for three consecutive years and this year achieved the highest GCSE results in West Norfolk with many subjects recording their best ever results. We understand nominations for the award praised the level of pastoral care provided as well as
the academic support students receive.
The Headteacher Mr Willingham said "It is a great boost for all staff to know their hard work has been so publicly recognised. We are very proud of our school and very proud to win the award. We have fantastic students and we have received great support from parents. Thanks must go to the West Norfolk Academy Trust for the support and challenge they have provided"
Many teachers from the school were nominated for The Most Inspirational Secondary School Teacher of the Year Award, Mr Arndt and Mr Modica were both finalists in this category. Congratulations go to Mr Modica who won the award, we understand he received multiple
nominations and he was thrilled to win. Mr Modica is known for the excellent care he provides for his tutor group and his outstanding History lessons.

The Most Inspirational Secondary School Teacher of the Year Award
Firstly, I have to say how shocked I am to have won this award, but also how grateful I am that I was even nominated.
I can honestly say the students and staff at St Clement's have made me feel very welcome since day one. I love our school and working with all of these incredible people everyday. I feel very proud not only for myself, but to represent our school in this way.
I never expected to ever win something like this award but more importantly it is a signpost that what we all do everyday in supporting and guiding our young people is working, as well as the exam preparation, the important bit of just listening sometimes; this is a great reminder of how important that is.
I am also thrilled that the hard work of our staff and students over the past few years was recognised as our school won the school of the year. Thanks again to all of you in our community and here's to further St Clement's successes.
Mr Modica.
