Tom Edwards, talented chef, wowed the judges as he pipped the other candidates to the title after excelling during the event held at Suffolk One Sixth Form College
With just two hours to prepare and serve a starter, main and dessert course, youngsters from Norfolk, Cambridgeshire and Suffolk served stunning dishes inspired from around the world
Tom Edwards, talented chef, wowed the judges. He pipped the other candidates to the title after excelling during the event held at Suffolk One Sixth Form College. Tom triumphed by producing Cream of mushroom soup served with a poached egg, Fish pie served with a cheddar and saffron mash and seasonal vegetables, with a dessert of white chocolate pannacotta. The judges, PeterSenior and Matthew Mowles praised the “high Standards” of all the entries.
Tom has worked closely with the Head chef, Nick Claxton from Congham Hall, who has mentored him throughout this competition and provided a valuable source of inspiration and advice
Tom is now in with a chance of being crowned the regional Rotary Club’s Young Chef of the Year after progressing from the weekend’s district round.
